Alan Kennemer, our Surfacing Product Specialist in NY/NJ built a light box using L&S LED lighting to help illustrate how backlighting can significantly enhance some of Avonite’s Studio Collection Colors. Each of our Surfacing Product Specialists has one of these lightboxes. Contact them for a demonstration!

Alan also shared some thoughts on backlighting Avonite Studio colors:

The unique translucent qualities of Avonite Surfaces Studio Collection Glass, Petals and Metallics products allow you to exercise a great deal of creativity. Because of the unique manufacturing process of these polyester products, Avonite Surfaces create a depth of color and clarity found in no other solid surface product! By integrating L&S LED lighting to illuminate these Avonite products, many new applications will be created that will produce unanticipated effects.

When considering the use of these products, you will need to allow for a cavity with a minimum of 3″ for the installation of the LED lighting. L&S strip lighting could be used to achieve the most of the results below. Applications range from feature wall panels, bar tops, reception desk tops or fronts to handrails and tub surrounds.
