Each year we offer a variety of Finishing Seminars at all of our Branch Locations. These seminars are created and developed by our Lacquer Specialists and Lacquer Product Manager to offer you the opportunity to interact with our Specialists and Vendors and get hands-on training. In addition to being pretty fun, there are some additional benefits to attending one of our seminars….
Whether you are an experienced finisher or just starting out, our seminars give you the chance to learn new skills or brush up on existing ones. Topics range from Basic Fundamentals of Wood Finishing to Furniture Grade Finishing and Color Development. They are designed to be hands-on and cater to the needs and skills of all attendees.
Our seminars are run by our local Lacquer Product Specialists with appearances by Lacquer Product Manager, Sean McDonald and different vendor reps. Our 10 Lacquer Reps have more than 100 years of experience between them and come from a wide range of backgrounds. Most have worked in shops at some time or another and can relate to your issues and needs.

Our vendor reps from ML Campbell, Mirka, and CA Technologies frequent many of these seminars. These are the experts! They work with the products day in and day out and can provide tips and tricks and answer any and all questions about their products.
We try and keep the seminars to a manageable size so that everyone has an opportunity to work with all of our products. Often times, one of the highlights of these seminars is meeting and interacting with people from other companies. There is plenty of time for sharing tips and struggles and learning from each other. Because of the range of experience in each group, you have the chance to learn just as much from the other attendees as you do from our Specialists and Vendor Reps.
All of our seminars give you the chance to try products from all of our finishing vendors. Each branch location has spray facilities stocked with the latest and greatest products from our vendors.
If that’s not enough to entice you, we do offer discounts on products purchased that day, give you a pretty good lunch and send you home with some fancy MLC/Atlantic Tshirts or Aprons.
If you can’t make it to a full day seminar, pop into one of our upcoming “Spray Days” in Carlstadt on June 11 and Bethpage on June 24. Spray Day is an opportunity to stop in at your leisure and try out any Mirka, CA Tech, or ML Campbell product. Discounts on purchases made that day are available and we’ll be serving up some food and beverages.
